Default '95 engine swap ( stock/upgrade)

hi im new to this, just bought a '95 civic coupe with D15B7 350k km on engine already so i want to replace it with either another stock or b series BUT before i do that just want to ask if its easy/ier to buy the engine and do it yourself or get a shop to do it-which charges me at $1000+ labour/parts+engine($900)...yeah i bought the car for 2grand CAD and everything else is literally looks like its only been used for a year or two.

You can rent a picker. Or just go to Harbor Freight, and get a little wench. Mount that really sturdy like up in the rafters, and tada!. If you do it right you can use that as a easy jack as well.

I agree with everyone else, engine swaps are really easy to do.. if you have the basic tools, then just borrow a cherry picker and have a friend help..

yeah i thought i can rent a picker, thats done. my main concern mainly are the connections if its just snap and plug. im pretty good mechanically its just that this would be my first and very intimidating..

You will have to put the the H tranny in and change the mounts and put the shift cables in.
