well when you dont have enough juice to your starter sylinoid it will just click, if anything get it running and take it to your local parts store they will test your battery and if its good the termanals are a cheap starting fix.

im sure he means alternator, but if your car starts when jumped, then i dont think its a bad alternator, cause your battery cant run off on its own without the alternator

lol sorry i meant test your alternator, get it started again (push start i guess) remove the neg battery terminal and if the car stays running the alternator is good.

The same problem happened with me and my friends eg6 this week ,both were battery problems ,Take out the battery ,check the terminals ,check if its full with fluid also ,a quick fix on mine was to top up the battery and give the terminals a sand down with some sandpaper ,
Both cars fired up first time

okay, a loose connection, or a bad battery will make the starter click like that...

id throw a battery in it, like a nice interstate from a local service station, not some duralast ****. and also hook your car up to an ammeter or vat machine, and see what kind of amperage its got while running, that would let you know if your alternator is bad.

chances are, if the alternator went bad, you killed the battery by driving it home, and draining the battery til it was dead.

so a new battery will get you running, unless your terminals are ****ed up. then have your alternator tested...

hope this helps

an interstate mt 51 i believe it is for hondas is like 90 bucks my price, so probably like 110 bucks or so for a regular joe.

just stop by a service station in your area, most that carry interstate products have a sign or something in the window, or just ask them.

i happen to own an ej1 also, and im also a mechanic.

i wouldnt put a cheap duralast in my ride, but thats just me.

put a battery in it, whatever you want...

take it somewhere, and have the charging system checked out, or if you have a fluke or other ohm meter, you can put the neg on the neg post, and pos on the pos post, and it should be around like 14.2 while running if the alternator is working.

something like that i think. ive seen my pops do it when i worked with him and thats what he was telling me i believe.

anyways, hope this helps also..

John
