Default pr3-3 head help

i recently bought a 2000 b16 head to swap into my hatch. The kid told me it was a b16 gsr head, but its a 2000 so that didnt make any sense. I've searched for hours and hours trying to figure out exactly what it is, i know the pr3-3 stamp means its a b16 or itr head. but the itr heads have dual valve springs on both intake and exhaust and this only have dual on the intake. It does have a green paint mark by the dizzy, and the cams look kinda beefy with only an "A" stamped in the intake cam and "M" on the exhaust cam. if anyone could help me figure out exactly what kind of head and/or cams this is that would be appreciated.
here's some pics

looks like a b16 head. itr's are "supposed" to be ported. and those look like the 92-93 gsr cams which are basically the same as the b16 cam profile. sounds like you have just an 00 cast b16 head.

It is a B16 casting. What more do you need to know? One isn't better than the other. What difference does it make if it came from a B16a2 vs B16a3...etc. They are all the same.

Anyways, once the head is off the block, there is no way to know what it came from.

No hormones to calm, just trying to provide enlightenment. You will be happy to know that it will perform just as good as any B16 head ever made, because it is the same as any B16 head every made. Since the cylinder head was casted in 2000, you can guarantee that it will not have any of the rare 'core shift' issues that early PR3 heads experienced between '87 and '94.

Since you havn't stated what motor this is for, it will be difficult to recommend modifications. However, since we do know you have a Civic hatchback, you won't need huge amounts of power to outsprint lightly modified EVO's and Mustangs. With bolt-ons and R-compound tires, I was able to put good distance on EVO's/STi's, E36 M3's and Mustangs during track days. I suggest a good set of rubber and some seat time. Use your weight to an advantage, having 1000lbs less to accelerate, brake and turn is something heavy car owners would spend oodles of money for.

If you have a 1.8 - Skunk2 Pro1's, a good header and a solid tune should keep you content. If you have a 1.6 - a smaller cam like the Buddy Club 3+'s will perform a bit better, and the TODA header is the best for a 1.6 (this is a knock-off that performs just as good).

You should direct your engine questions to the relevant technical forum (all-motor or forced induction). As it is unlikely that anyone in the Integra Type-R forum has the same setup as you.
