hello every1 i just bought a 1998 jdm acura integra type r swap and i want to put it in my 1999 honda civic ex ( vtec) so i am going to use my 1999 honda civic ex wiring harness on the itr swap and into my car.... i kno i only have to do 2 wiring modifications because i am using a chipped p28 computer. i only have to do the 3 wire iac > 2 wire iac, which is extremely easy and then i have to change the distributor plug on the 98 spec itr motor bc the plug on my wiring harness is different.

my question is can i take the guts out of my 1999 honda civic ex (d16y8) distributor and put the guts into the 1998 jdm type r distributor?

plzz help me out every1!

 

just try your best to take a color off one plug, and out of the other and eventually trade them all over..

well the wiring harness that was originally on the itr motor from the previous owner is a 1992 honda civic si harness and was in that chasis also. so i could always just cut the connector off that harness and solder that connector on my 1999 ex harness... but will the wires even be the same color coded? and i heard that there will be 2 left over wires so what would i do with the extra 2 wires? please all your help is appreciated.
