i've got a 96gsr with basics: short ram intake, 50shot nos, coilovers, and vafc. first, i was told by my mechanic that i would get crazy wheel spin off first gear with the nitrous. is this true or is he over-exaggerating? if its true, what can i do with street tires? second, i think its my vafc thats making my vtec boggle at the rpm its supposed to kick in. what settings can i put with my setup?
Im not very knowledgeable when it comes to nitrous but I would think you would want to save the nitrous for 2nd or 3rd. You would burn through 1st too quick.
i used it in first all the time (launched at 2k) you do have short shift to 2nd though it does spin a lot.. if your have a decent clutch just launch in 2nd (up high) w/ the n2o
I use a 50 shot of NX in first gear with no probs on street tires. Actually stock tires. But I do have the NX progressive controller which starts off with 40% nitrous, which is 20hp, and moves its way up to 50hp. Ill tell u that of my whole nitrous setup, this is the most important. However, with the controller or no controller, 75hp will spin like ****. I took it to 75 for the first time with my h22a, and it spun so bad in first that when i shifted to second the wheels were still spinning and i didnt move anywhere. So I had to let off and wait for my tires to hookup again. I ended up with a 19.xx, when it should be in the 14's..hehe
