Tonight I hit a skunk , no damage that I can see.. It looks like I just hit it with my front left tire, then my back tire left an azenis track from head to tail.
I went and washed it right away, 4 times.. But the smell inside my R is sick.. Will this stick to the suede?? I am steam cleaning the rugs in the morning.. What else should I do?? I HATE SKUNKS (my girlfriend cried that I killed a skunk)

 

awww daym that sux man...the smell of skunk makes me wanna hurl

 

Leave a couple boxes of baking soda in it overnight.

It won't get rid of it, but it will help.

 

hsahahaha my X did the same thing when I tried to avoid a rabit and I barely saw it and I jamed on the brakes. Not only did I hit it but I dragged it under the front right tire for a couple of feet when the tires locked up her moms lexsus had crap all over it. hahahaah was kind of funny when i think about it

i hit a skunk before.......it was a baby and i think my lower tie bar clothes lined it.......i could smell skunk for like 1 week then it went away........don't worry about it.....

I also hit a rabbit in the r with my right tire....
........i hit a turtle in my old tiburon too...........it was a huge turtle....15 pounds maybe......huge speed bump

 

Meanwhile in Australia... we gotta dodge kangaroos

 

on my old integra i hit a squirrel, and when i got home there was a squirrel "resting" peacefully in my bumper

But, me and my girl are laughing so hard jut reading your post I just had to post here.

When our dogs would get skunked we would wash them with Tomato juice. Don't know or think this will make a difference but, it might help.

Or you could try Home Depot for some of that Super Strong Janitorial Smelly Drain Cleaner/Fragrance Stuff, I think it's like Super Cherry or something. But, it will probably end up smelling like Skunk and Cherries.

I learned that it is better to hit those animals rather than avoiding.. because you can get killed. kill them instead.

I was coming over a hill when I saw the skunk in the middle of the road...I tried to avoid it but I heard the thump when I ran over it...

Park in a garage...keep the windows down...and try to hose doewn the underside of your R as much as you can.

I just checked my R...no damage for sure the outside isn't that bad, but inside smells like the skunk sprayed a couple of times.. I have to go to my girlfriends moms this weekend (5 hour drive) this is going to suck

spray some Febreze inside the car.

as for the outside, spray it down w/ some citrus cleaner.

oh man i feel so sorry for you. there are places that can detail your undercarriage. take it there, also hand wash it, use baking soda that should absorb the smell hopefully. lol goodluck man.

 

Smelly, stinky mess! It might take a while, but you can get the smell out using everything (or some combination) of the items metioned above. I know it smells and it totally sucks, but it is better than hitting a racoon, possum, fox, dog, or something bigger.... like a deer. Someone hit a deer on a street near a large forest preserve yesterday. Poor deer. Poor car! The front end was totally demolished! good luck with the stink.

If Febreeze can keep my dorm room from smelling like ***, it should help with the skunk smell.

 

Go hit another Skunk and your car will be Skunk2 tuned....

try febreeze works for everything else haha....or maybe get something like on tv...orange clean "with the natural cleaning power of orange" just a though
