But why? You'll get no advantage of using a b-series compressor. Besides, you'll have to find new A/C lines to match the b-series compressor, evacuate your entire a/c system, and then refill. Your car was totally designed to have a b-series motor with a d-series compressor stock. That's what the del sol VTEC bracket is for. Why go against nature? In addition, the del sol vtec bracket won't fit a b-series compressor.
If you opt for a b series compressor you need to have custom fab fittings on your current lines. Teg or si lines wont fit.
The d series compressor is bolt on. I got the p7j crv bracket for like $40 from hondapartsnow.com
Just remember to get the idler mechanism as they're different from the d series bracket

Personally, I would not run without torque mounts. The torque mounts prevent the engine from torquing back and forth and also prevent the engine from entering the passenger compartment in the event of an accident. There are countless threads of others on this very site asking for help after their engines fell out because they heard it was ok to run without torque mounts.
maybe if you have super stiff mounts you need not worry about torque mounts
but I have innovative red mounts and I run with torque mounts; I figure it can't hurt me
as for using the p7j without torque mount of course you can. Just take your torque mount off. You don't need to shave nothing off. the bracket if the mount is not there the rod that goes into the torque mount will just be there. It wont make contact with anything don't shave it off
