b16a in eg sedan. no fire easy fix?
at first i had a b18b1 obd2 engine and engine harness and distributer with obd1 everything else.
ran fine.
swapped a b16 in with everything the same still and now im getting no spark.
could it be cause of the knock sensor not being hooked up?
i pulled the distributer cap off and tested for power on the coil with the ignition on and i only have power when i put the negative end of the multi-meter to a bolt or good ground on the engine.not when both ends of the multi-meter are on the coil....
so my problem is a ground somewhere.....

Sounds like the distributor gets battery power. Remove the coil and ICM so that an auto parts store can test them.
Does the fuel pump prime? If not, check the critical ground wire attached to the thermostat housing. It may be disconnected, loose, or corroded.
Is the CEL ON?
