No coil fire! WHY 96 prelude
I got a 96 lude with a 92 h22a with a obdII engine and dash wiring harness. I'm using a p13 ecu with a obd2 - obd1 jumper harness
The coil gets not fire! why! I've already replaced the coil and still nothing
what's wrong!!@!!!! I"M GOING NUTS
Is there any way I can hardwire the coil or the igniter! I tried hardwiring the coil, nothing, but I think I need to hard wire the igniter.... how?
I've spent all the money I got on this car I can't buy anything I just need to get it to run!

Re: No coil fire! WHY 96 prelude (spraymysol)
have you looked into the ignition module? From my exper. coils rarely fail. I would get a wiring diag. double check your setup and get a module if everything checks out.

tested ignition module and coil, both good
the problem I found is I was using a obdII distributor on obd1 jdm motor (which doesn't have a crank angle sensor) but I'm using a obd2 engine harness which does use the crank angle sensor.
I got the jdm obd1 distributor now problem is I got a external coil car though.
I got to figure how to convert it to use internal coil jdm dizzy HOW!

Alright, got it working by using a jdm internal distributor and making a conversion harness by hooking it to the crank and tdc sensors.
It only lasted 2 days, now it's down and no spark just like before!
But the wiring appears to still be good, I think the distrubutor went bad since we didn't time it right. I heard the dizzys go bad when they're not timed right since the constantly adjust to compensate. But the motor was running good so I think the timing wasn't really off by much.
How can I test the ignitor with a internal coil dizzy? I know how to test an external coil ignitor by grounding one of the terminals.
