I'm wodering if anyone has had large racoons/cats/etc under the car ever set the proximity sensor off. Mine is actually set low, you can barely get a warn-away response outside it.
I had my alarm go off twice due to the radar sensor last night. I disarmed, then rearmed it to put clothes on to check (raining). As I was about to go outside, it went off again but I didn't hear the warn-away chirps. My guess is some animal ducked under for cover from rain, and the field extended below the car. Otherwise someone tried to open the door, since it may not have locked when it armed (see below).
If nothing else, I'm very happy with DEI's backup battery. My car battery basicly died yesterday (no longer takes a charge), and can barely illuminate the dash lights. The siren literally jarred me from sleep.
