Cylinder Wall has minor nick and scratch. Can I do honing myself? pix*
I was wondering if I can hone just this cylinder wall myself? It has a minor nick and scratch on cylinder wall. Apparently its just one cylinder wall. So I wanted to know if I can do it myself or not. Or to be on the safe side bring it to the machine shop? The bottom edge seems to be not in perfect round shape. Will that affect anything? Any suggestions? Also The oil jet seems to be crooked and is rubbing against the crank. Here are some pictures.

the block itself already been bore .20 over. So just by judging by the picture. Does it seem ok if I can get away with just a hone. Or do i need to get it bore some more as well?

i guess the machinist said that the nick was too low for the rings to catch it. But I worry it might scar the piston. Any suggestion for that?
