90 accord how to get Check Engine Light (CEL) to blink codes
I have read and read through this post using the search function.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/check-engine-light-codes-cel-diagnostic-trouble-codes-dtc-malfunction-indicator-light-mil-1490107/
And still cannot figure out how to get the car to flash the CEL code(s) to me, the pictures in the above link do not show up, and when someone says to "jump" the connectors what does that mean?
P.S. I do have a CEL on after about 3 minutes of the car being on.

Remove the right side panel in the passenger's footwell. Look for an unattached small blue connector with two wires (mine are white/green, and orange/red) leading to it. Find a paperclip, unwind it, then bend it in half. You'll use this to 'jump' the connector.
(This is from my failing memory, so don't get all cranky if it's not quite right!)
Is I recall, you need to short the connector and then turn the ignition on. I don't think you need/want to start the engine - just turn the key to get dash lights. The Check Engine light should now flash out the error code. I think long flashes are worth 10, and short flashes worth 1.

The 90 accord DOES NOT have the 2pin jumper connector. You retrieve codes by pulling the carpet back and count the number of blinks on the ECU itself. There is a littlle window on the chassis of the ECU with an LED inside.
That seems to be the common misinformation. I've heard the same, but my 92 wagon most definitely has the jumper and flashing dash light.
Maybe Honda built them both ways for this generation?
