Default Noobie at its best

Hi everyone on honda-tech. im going to start by saying im am fairly new to the civic world. i just purchased at 99 civic si. i know im probably going to catch alot of crap for this question but here it goes ...i hear everyone talking about ek, eg, em... what does all that mean. from what i was told is that i have a em1. so my guess is that ek, g, or m has to do with the year, an body type? im sorry if this offends some but i want to know so that i am educated going into this. thank you for your time.

its in the vin number. chassis code. 99-00 civic si are em1. look at your vin number, each car as there own code.

yes, most common is eg, which is 92-95 and ek for 96-00. Although most 96-00 civics in the u.s. here do not have ek in the vin like your em1 does, but ek is the jdm version, and hondatech here is all about jdm so ya...

passwordjdm.com has quite a few things, so does the sponser sections in the market place on here. Look for reputable sellers/companies on ebay, not everything on ebay is cheap crap.

Very true!

Ebay can be your best friend. Unfortunately it has also made many enemies out of people who either had bad luck or didn't do their homework.

never heard of weaksauce, but I do know that password jdm sells all top of the line products. Don't frown on ebay just yet because you can actually get some pretty sick deals on their, but search brand name and not part type

Example:
