Camshafts won't stay aligned?
Hi,
I have an h22a and when I align the camshafts to TDC and then rotate them with the timing belt, they fall out of alignment.
I noticed that my exhuast camshaft rotates much more easier than my intake camshaft which is harder to turn.
Any ideas?

Are you trying to install the timing belt? If so, that's normal. You need to use a couple of wrenches on the cam gear bolts to rotate the cams into the proper position. Once the belt is on, hold the timing belt in place on the cam gears as you turn the engine over by hand. Once you get more than a 1/2 rotation of the crank, you should be able to move your hand. If you don't hold the belt in place it WILL slip when you initially turn it due to the slack in the belt. Obviously, you remove the autotensioner stopper once the belt is on and before you turn the crank pulley.
