Default noob with drivetrain prob

ok i have a '95 civ with a swapped B16A1 and i put a whole ACT clutch kit in. ok i left the car on jackstands and fired it up, well when i eased off the clutch with the car in nuetral, the wheels started spinnin with the idle of the engine, well when i put the car in 1st gear and eased off, it stalled out, tried givin it gas and all it did was stall even harder....now my question is; was the car doin that bc it was on jackstands? or is somethin screwed up in the tranny? now keep in mind i never put the car back on the ground and try to see what would happen. I just need some advice bc im stuck, this is my first time owning a civ, i used to own a evo, so i only know things about a evo lol....thanks

When you installed your clutch did you use the alignment tool? Torque all of the bolts in sequence using a torque wrench? Double check your shift linkage before you start taking things apart again. There is only one way to install a clutch, so I wouldn't think you installed it wrong.
