Icon3 help!!!!

i have a 92 hatch with a b18b1 swap in it, and lately it gives me problems starting when its hot outside, it would start up then shut right off, then after that i would try cranking it up for like 15 mins and it wont start.....please help because it does this whenever its really hot outside, and im in texas lol

i have heard of coils acting funny and doing that as they start to go bad...when its cold they are fine..but once warm they die...have u checked for spark after it dies?

Sounds like it could be your PGM FI main relay.. When this happens listen to see if the fuel pump is turning on..The Main relay is located near the hood release latch.. I'm sure you could tap on it and the car would start right up..

If it is indeed the main relay.. this is common in hot summers for them to start acting up.. it's caused by dry joints in the relay and it's a simple fix.. just pull the main relay out and remove the cover and resolder the joints. There are several write-ups and how to's on this.. do a quick search in the civic forum for ''main relay''
