Icon6 I need help, Civic cranks but will not start!

This is a 92 civic hb. I have a built motor everything is new. with turbo setup. Anyways, I got home friday and left car till monday morning i went to start and it just cranks and does not start. I have the fuel pump on a seperate manual switch. When i turn the key on the main relay just kept clicking. i took apart main relay and under cover it had tons of corroson and brown wet stuff. I wiped it all off and dried it. Today i put it back in and went to start it just cranks and does not start. The main relay is not clicking no more. I havent had anyone over to help check, but about 3 weeks ago, the same thing happen. It just cranked and didnt start. there was no spark from spark plug wires. Then after a few days it started up. I think im going to get a new main relay. Please any ideals or opinions on what could be causing this? thanks.... It just cranks and does not start...Bad main relay? anything else?

Anyone? After cleaning the corrision from the main relay, i hooked back in. When the key is all way on it clicks once. How can i test a main relay? it did this few weeks ago, had no spark then few days later it started up fine. Is that a sign bad relay? i know it controls ecu and if its bad there wont be spark... please any ideals?

Disconnect the switch and get the main relay and fuel pump working properly. The main relay also provides power to the ECU, which is required for spark. Also check the important ground wire on the thermostat housing. Any CEL codes?

exactly disconnect the switch and fix that problem first...
no spark no fuel pump prime with key on car off = bad main relay..
Now if the fuel pump primes and you have no spark.. its either a bad distributor, coil, or ignitor, which both are internal with that distributor.. also could be cap and rotor or timing belt too..

I had that same problem a few days ago.. only thing is car broke down a good hour away.. so i got a distributor, swapped the cap and rotor and she fired right up.. before that it had no spark, but the pump primed.. hope this helps!
