Repro eBay OEM optional lip kits - suck bad?
Well, I need to shoot some paint on my lip. I thought I'd get a kit, and paint that at the same time. But I can't find a real OEM optional kit, though that is really what I'd like to have.
Browsing eBay, I saw a bunch of ABS and UR replica kits. How bad do these suck? Back in 02 when I was looking, they all sucked a lot. Any change? If any good, do they come with the mouldings? (i.e. Gaskets - the rubber between the part and the shells).
Just wondering if this is a possible option, or if I need to hold out for OEM.
TIA

You need to holdout for OEM. No personal experience with the aftermarket replicas, but I've heard nothing but bad things about the fitment, and overall quality of all the fake valences. I'm sure you can find them SOMEWHERE. JDMtheory.com, JDMland.com, I think I might have seen a set for sale in the marketplace on here too..
I have never seen a set of replica sideskirts that don't bulge out at the wheel well, no matter how well it is adjusted to fit. Seeing that price makes me want to keep mine forever.
Thanks guys
What I thought. Not sure why it's so hard for someone besides Honda to mould ABS correctly.
But OUCH! Over $1000 shipped used, plus prep & paint, and apparently no hardware or rubber. Then some Hong Kong sellers were folding the parts in half to make for a smaller box with less shipping cost. I'm all for not getting reamed on shipping, but straightening parts with a hair dryer after being folded in half is not my first choice.
I guess I'll keep looking, and may have to spray paint twice. OEM kit is the hotness tho
