Default 1989 Prelude starting problem.

Proud owner of an 89 Prelude Si. The car has been flawless for 20 years, until the other day. Won't start. Battery ok, battery cables ok, changed out the starter, so that is ok now. Turn the key in the ignition, all the lights come on, but not a sound and it won't crank. Lights, sun roof, windows work, but it won't start. I can get it to start by pushing it and letting the clutch out in first gear, but it will not start by way of the ignition switch. Any ideas? It's doing the same thing as if I did not push the clutch pedal in all the way.

Check the clutch switch.

Yep, check clutch switch, fuses, etc first.

Thanks for the replies. You were right. It was clutch pedal switch B. The little plastic part which depresses the pin broke. Switch B is not easy to find, unlike Switch A which is easy to see. The old '89 fires up now. Thanks again. Brett....
