Hey, my brother just graduated from college and is away camping with his girlfriend. His 1992 Civic needs a new CV joint and brakes. I think I can handle the brakes, can I handle the CV joint? I'd really like to have this stuff fixed when he gets home so he can feel great about driving it to wherever he gets a job. Thanks, I hope I wasn't missing a walk-through or anything. Sure you can, you just need to make sure you can get that damn axle nut off and you are set, the rest is easier than the axle nut.

yeah you can do that, it's pretty easy. for me the hardest part was popping it out of the transmission

 

Yeah, that axle nut is the hardest part. The rest is a piece of cake.

 

i hate those damn axle nutes lol.
just get a breaker bar,

if your un sure about it pick up a haynes manual, helped me my first time.

 

despite the axle nut, its easy to do, if you have time get a pickle fork from autozone or any autopart store, it makes it very easy to pop the joint out of the tranny.
