AC problem/ climate control
Ok when i first got the car the ac light used to work but the ac didn't work so today im trying to turn the compressor on so i know it still works but when i click ac or any other option on my climate control the lights don't light up but i know all of them work except for ac because the fan didn't turn on is it because of no free on left? or what? and randomly my lights appear and dissapear what could be the problem of that

a know problem that happens with the prelude is the solder connections in the a/c unit go bad and need to be re soldered. this could be the problem.
also when there is no refrigerant, or very low amount, in the system the compressor will not engage. this protects it from getting damaged.

Im more on the mechanical side of an A/C problem. I think my clutch may be sticking. My A/C goes on and off. Blower still blows but the air turns hot for a while then clutch kicks in and the air gets cold again.
this happens when im usually accelerating on a on-ramp to the freeway.
I am thinking about replacing my compressor assuming that my A/C clutch will give out soon. What I am wondering is if a A/C compressor off a 5th gen will work on my 4th gen?

^When mine did that it was actually the control unit in the dash, replacing it fixed it, might wanna check if yours is still good.

well, i'd think that but when im not running the a/c i can hear the compressor making odd noises. it's like the clutch is kinda sticking and grinds a bit on the pulley..
ok i resoldered the connections everythings works now but the thing is the little metal line that is hooked up to control heat and cool i got mad and pulled it cuz i didnt know how it went i forgot how it looked so i think i have it right but i think there is to much slack it doesnt go to heat or cool at all

Yeah that cable is what adjusts the temp, you better hope you didn't f'k it up. I'm gonna give the resoldering a shot since nothing on the unit wants to glow blue anymore.
Have your condenser fans tested? Often times when you A/C light goes on an off going from cold to warm - it could result in a failing fan. The guys have another valid point with the A/C solder points.
Have them checked - it could be an easy fix. :-)

the fans and everything work fine i also have 70psi in my system which isnt good but still i think i mighta messed up the cable or didnt do it right cuz it feels like there is a little bit of slack anyone?
Me and that cable don't get along lol.
What I do (my cable also messed up) is manually move the valve, it takes 2 sec's and is less of a hassle than to deal with that cable!

Your problem is the Solder connections on the climate control unit. You need to disassemble the CC and get it down to the circuit board, and simply just take solder gun and put some on all the connections; pretty easy process. This is no doubt your problem.
