I could'nt get the seal off the front of crank. I tore up half trying. How do you get these seals off. Its flush against the oil pump cover/case. Im thinkin I have to remove the oil pump cover and remove the seal from behind. Thats the only way I see how. Any tips??

 

It took me awhile to get that one out too. I did it about 3 years ago. I just worked at it with some picks and and a small screw driver. I remember it taking so long mainly because I was afraid of scratching the crank shaft. Putting it back in was easy as I had the driver for that.

 

Did you pick at teh inner or outer lip? That outer keeps tearing on me.

 

I worked at it from the inner edge to hook into the metal "frame" of the seal. The outer edge you just end up tearing the rubber off the metal "frame" as you've noticed.
