Default APEXI Replacement Filter Question

So I've been looking into this filter to replace the one I currently have that's getting caked with dirt.

I need to know what other materials I will need to get to adapt this filter to my Fujita SRI on my Si. I caught wind of something about the flange of the filter being too big for the intake tube, but that was a person who had an Injen CAI.

Not sure if the piping size is different between the Fujita SRI and Injen CAI, but I believe my Fujita may have a 3" piping size. So now I need to know what size Apexi filter I will need to get (part number would be beneficial) for my intake. Or even if I can get the filter at all.

** sigh **

Nevermind. Took some measurements of the Fujita intake pipe circumference and was able to get the diameter from that.

3.02 inches. The two flanges they offer for Apexi that would come close are 75mm and 80mm.

75mm is too small at 2.95inches and 80mm is too big at 3.15 inches.

So I guess there's no other way to get an 80mm Apexi flange to fit a 3" pipe??

with a rubber coupler with clamps. a rubber coupler can connect 2 different size or same size pipes.

But if the flange diameter is larger than the piping size on the Fujita, wouldn't the flange vibrate against it from not fitting flush?

not at all. a lot of people have used the 80mm apexi filter on injen, fujita, and diy type intakes with no problems.
