Default coolant leak

hey guys, need your help on a coolant issue. a few weeks ago i replaced my radiator and hoses. as of now, there still seems to be a slow coolant leak. the reservoir goes from the max to min line in about a week. i've re-checked the hoses, checked the top and bottom of radiator for leaks, checked the line that goes from the thermo housing to throttle body, no creamy color in the oil. where else could this leak be?

Have you checked under the distributor? There is a hose that connects that there as hell, and I had a leak there once; very hard to spot. Where do you park? Do you see any coolant puddles on the ground? If not, this could be a sign of a bad motor.

And how quickly is this coolant going away. It could be a small internal leak via the head gasket, and you just do not see it in the oil. My brothers civic is that way, he is replacing the engine anyhow, but his oil is the normal brownish/blackish color (depending on oil life of course).

hook it to a pressure tester and see where it is leaking from.

is that something you can have an auto store do for free or do i need to take it into a shop for that? the tool itself looked really expensive online.

open up your oil fill cap ... is there milky white oil in the cap ????
if so i would do a compression test on the car ASAP .... if u got the differnt compression most likly a head gasket. or if its the same compression i would suspect craked block - happend to me.

but if u dont got milky stuff under cap
tripple check all your rad hoses make sure they all going where they sapposed to be. also check the main inlet on top cooalnt line... the plastic set up with an o ring they put on f23a1's = GHETTO if u got one that is plastic.

a pressure tester is a tool you have to buy for the radiator system, or have a shop do it for you. i agree with doing a pressure test.

as for cuteaccord; theres no such diagnosis as just bad motor without the reason for being a bad motor you got to find out why.
