Default 87 civic hatchback b16a exhaust options

I may be buying an 87 hatch for a good price and wanted to know what header and exhaust will work in the car.

you will have to find an old B16a header, one made for EF's in japan with the double o2 bung. if not, then it won't fit well at all as there is hardly any room..

exhaust; you have to make your own. there is no kit out there for the car itself unless you want a cheap pace setter. and that just won't flow enough.

why does it need a double o2 bung ?

I was thinking of using this -

Do you think it will fit ?

the obd0 swaps require two O2 bungs because they use two O2 sensors on the primaries right outside the head.

here is how much room you have:

and that's with a half-width radiator.

this is a b16a 2nd gen, i was under the assumption that those were obd1 motors.

then you are just under the size constraints, not the fact that it needs an O2..

since you said B16a and 87 civic, i immediately thought it was OBD0.. next time more specific questions will net more specific results..

the one i have in my car is a "Be Cool" rad for 92+ civics. the fill spout isn't on top of the radiator, but offset for some strange reason? but it works great for these cars.

medieval pro is making a dual core half size i believe. i just fabbed up a block off plate for the other side.

This thread works for my project, too. I just joined the site, so I can't start a thread yet, but I will as soon as I can. Gotta get my thread count up....
