spray brake cleaner around where the intake attaches to the head you probably got a leaking intake manifold gasket. the revving up and down is the IACV trying to compensate for the overly large air going in the engine and opening and closing trying to compensate.

You definately have an intake leak somewhere, make sure you hooked up all of the vacuum lines and stuff to the proper places, if you dont have an overly loud exhaust on the car, you should be able to hear where the air leak is sucking from.
another method would be to put your hand over the throttle opening and listen, it should calm down the wild revving.

Vacuum leak? I knocked a vacuum hose off by accident and my idle was all kinds of funky

ok i re hooked them up and now no more ups and down reving but it juist revs up to 3800 then stays there then when u try to give em a lil gas it just bogs and cant go any higher and can that be because of the knock sensor
