Default Little problem...

I have a 99 Honda Civic EX. I replaced the Compressor and condenser fan and have recharged the system. The A/C blows pretty cool air on the highway when it's not too hot outside, but in the heat...it seems to be noticeably cool... but definitely not cold. Any suggestions? The compressor is functioning and the fan comes on.

Also, how hard would it be to install a distributor for this car? Is it as simple as 3 bolts and an O-ring? Do I need any special tools? Will the car automatically adjust the timing? Thanks!

I am getting error code p0335 by the way... Crankshaft position sensor. I got replaced the one by the timing belt and apparently I need to just replace the distributor.
