I bought this Honda Civic new last year, the car is eight months old.The query I have is that sometimes not always I hear like a clicking sound under the car. I would like to know if this sound is normal in this model, though it does not affect in the good performance of the car.

 

where do you live? i never heard of the 1.8 sport 2008 model

Take it to your dealer, have them take a look at it. If it's 8 months old it should still be under warranty.

 

Sorry my mistake Honda Civic 1.8 Ex 5dr, I am just asking if that occasional click sound is anything serious, cause a workmate of mine has exactly the same car and model as me and also hears that clicking sound from under the vehicle, as i mentioned before the performance of the car is normal and that sudden click sound is once in a while, i am from Gibraltar and i bought this car end of last Sept. from Bassadone Motors.

 

It is the injectors. Nothing to worry about.

The higher-pitch ticking noise is probably the injectors. The lower-pitch (wood-pecker type) sound is probably the valves.

 

not sure but if you read your manual(the one that comes with the car) i think its normal to be hearing the clicking noise. but i think it only applies to the si models. i'll look it up again and will let you guys for sure. i was just reading it last night
