Default clearance question!

i have ordered parts and would just like to know if i am going to run into p2v issues.

block is JDM ITR, spun a bearing so iv ordered std size eagle crank and rods and JE 12.2:1 pistons.
Can anybody tell me if these pistons will be ok with my s2 stg2 tuner cams?

Also might i be better off with different cams with the higher compression??

Car will be DD so dont want too wild of cam.

Also have blox 70mm TB, magnus intake mani + hondata gasket, KMS valve springs, Buddyclub header and a few other bits and pieces.

Running power fc but hope to buy s300 soon!!

Any help/advice much appreciated

You shouldnt have any problems with that setup. Just dont increase overlap too much.

Sounds good, should make good power. If it was me I would have went with pro2's but you really need to know what you are doing with these cams. If you search my build thread you'll see why. tuner stage 2's are a great set of cams, I had a set in a stock b16 with the bottom end untouched, made 177whp and 119wtq.

i actually regret buying those cams now, i jumped into buying them a while back and ony relised after how close they were to std type R cams.

I was actually only talking to a friend yesterday about swithcing to a set of pro2s.

what is idle quality like with them as it will be a DD.

Of course i know i cant have it all, as in good power and great idle.

I dont mind it a bit lumpy, i quite like it to be honest!!

No, the primaries for the sks2 are like itr's but the vtec lobes are a very substantial increase over itr's.

if the primaries are so similar, why do i get such a lumpy idle?

is it due to the overlap from cam gear settings by any chance?

what cams would you recomend for this kind of setup??

hi man im running 13:1 CR with pro2's without clearance issues. You can clay the engine and then degree it to manufacturer spec and make sure it falls into your safe clearence zone. My idle is very good not lumpy and almost like standard at 1000rpm or so. The s300 really lets you play with the idle. I saw your old dyno graph and it did not look like much tuning was done. Was that at westward engineering? Keith at CIT is an excellent tuner also is DR. nick in couture auto in meath i have experienced both of their tuning and its second to none. smooth power and tq lines with seamless vtec crossover.
If you want a hand degreeing your cams gimme a PM as i have the mike belben b series degree kit.
