Default Vitara D16Y8 - Question. TURBO

Single Cams are very cheap to build, so I’m thinking of doing a budget build with a decent compression to get the ball rolling sooner with boost.

Does Vitara make a Piston that will put the d16Y8 right around 11:5:1 to 11:8:1???

I want to add a t3 Super 60 on 10PSI just for fun. See what it can do!!!

Not familiar with single cams so I’m not sure if what I’m doing is dangerous? (Block wise).

Also... since it is a budget build, WHAT COMPLTELEY necessary supporting mods should I add?? Looking to make between 250 to 300 WHP.

And whats the biggest but saftest bore i can with a d16Y8. without having over heating/blown head gasket issues or anything like that.

vitara is not a piston manufactureer, when people say vitara pistions, they mean pistons out of a vitara, the car/suv thing. so you cant get custom compressions, vitarsa are 7.5 to 1 and thats it..... if you want to buuild a high compression turbo motor you better have deep pockets and a REALLY good engine builder and tuner.

that compression imo is too high for boost. your gonna want to lower the compression in most cases before you boost a motor. 9:1 or 9.5:1 would be about perfect for 10psi imo. carefull with the rods though. and be sure to get it professionally tuned unless you want to make less power and blow up faster
