Default Removing driver side axle

I'm removing the driver side axle and would I need to take out the intermediate shaft as well? Or can i pop out the half shaft by itself? I tried prying the half shaft from the intermediate but it won't budge...is there a way or tool for this? It's a 96 integra LS.

Mine wouldn't budge from the intermediate shaft as well. I took the intermediate shaft out from the transmission along with the axle still in. You may have to unbolt the wish bone so you can slide them out better but I got away without doing so
