CV Boots for 93 Del Sol
I just bought a 93 del sol S with 140k miles that needs a lot of TLC. For starts the boots are cracked on the CVJs, ball joints, tie rods, etc. The CVJs are not clattering so I'd like to just change the boots. Where should I look for high quality CV boots? i'm fine going with oem if that's clearly the best. I only want to do this once. :-)
Also the inner CV joints are painted green (the joint, not the boot). Does this sound like original joints or have they been swapped out by a previous owner?

I'm guessing new halfshafts are pricey, and I've read a few stories of reman halfshafts going south within a year or two, probably due to marginally worn out CVs being re-used.
I haven't done CV boots in years. Are the reman units generally good quality these days? I certainly like the simplicity of swapping out halfshafts. It's a pain getting all the old grease out of the joints before putting on new boots.

they are fairly cheap. you could look around localy and seee if anyone has some for sale. if they are bad, just replace them, the are cheap enough i would bother trying to fix them.
