Icon3 No start after CAI install

Alright so heres what happened. i was dissasembleing the factory intake with the car running (yeah probably a stupid idea but i wanted my music) on a 90 dx hatch. after about 5 or 10 minutes with the intake assembly off, the car randomly shut off on me. So naturally I go to start it again and now it wont start. I checked the spark plugs and they were soaked in fuel so i figured the car decided to run rich after the intake was off and dumped too much fuel.. ok, so now I take the plugs out and purge the remaining fuel, install new plugs and it still will not start. (fyi the fuel pump primes, and the distributor rotor turns so i know the distributor is working somewhat.) ive looked on Mitchel on demand and found nothing reguarding this problem, is there anyone that this has happened to? this whole thing has just got me aggrivated to all hell so if anyone has some insight it would be greatly apreciated, thanks!

Well did you check all the vacuum lines that run off the throttle body?
You probaby pulled a line off which would bog the car down and shut off.

MPFI or DPFI?

More info about your engine would help too.

It has to be an unrelated problem to taking off your intake then.....unless you unhooked unnessessary things that are fuel related.....

Did you notice massive horsepower improvements?

Maybe this is a sign you are wasting your money on that engine.

Does it actually try to fire up or is it dead.

if you did touch the cai to the battery lead and blow a fuse.

That would cause the issue you are having. especially the bigger fuses.

i would check your vacuum lines that hook up to the map sensor... they are easy to come off, so maybe one just came loose.

Hell yeah I do. Love the fuel economy. An intake is a pointless waste of fuel, time and money on that engine. Plus, it made it so this guy can't even start his car, which is just damn hilarious. It had a CAI for about a week. It's been gone for a while.
