Why wont my foglights work?
So I have a 92 Si that I bought with white foglights already installed. I wanted yellow so I bought some and swapped them out. Now, my foglights wont turn on. Why is this? They worked before and I only swapped out the foglight housing and no wiring or fuses. I hear the relay click but did I pop some sort of fuse? Did I also need to swap out the entire wire harness and relay to go along with the housing? It's frustrating so any help would be greatly appreciated.
THe bulbs are brand new and I gotta think that they both wouldn't go out simultaneously. If the wiring was fine before and then unchanged during the foglight housing swap, would they not still be fine?
are you sure they are connecting properly in the socket???
I bet that is what it is. There isn't much of an explanation otherwise, unless they were odd voltage bulbs. I have been tricked by 24V special bulbs. They were not an automotive application, and after scratching my head for a while, the customer finally tells me that he gor them off of his uncles Tractor!!! They were for a John Deere......
Oh i love my job...

You gotta check everything again. My foglights are wierd too same problem also. So I unplug the hot connection and put it again, reconect the fuse and it worked again. You go gotta recheck everyhing.
I have an update. I found out the inline 15 amp fuse between the relay and the fuse block under the dash keeps popping. It does not pop until I press the foglight button so I presume there is a short to ground perhaps? Why does the fuse keep popping?
if the relay clicks that means its good, its switching on/or off. you should check the wires you had to unplug the put the of the houseing, and what volts are the bulds. Are you popping fuses
Hello there fellow lude dudes. i just bought a 97 prelude base model. i have been having a few problems with it including overheating, and i believe my transmission is either slipping or the clutch is going out. the car is in decent shape for being 20 years old but there are definitely some modifcations that have to be done to it. NOW WHAT I AM WORKING ON TODAY IS MY FOG LIGHTS. my fog light switch in the car wont even stay clicked in. when i hold it in the light on the button lights up but it wont stay pressed in. also, the fog lights wont come on what so ever. im not sure if there is a short in the circuit or if the bulbs are bad,. i am assuming the bulbs are out so i went and bought the replica bulbs(h3) and im not sure how to install them.. can anyone give me some pointers?? thanks !
