Default blinker not working

i got into a accident about two weeks ago and my turn signal bulbs got crushed, then my rear blinkers worked for about three days but were blinking very fast then they just stopped period is this like a safty precaution from honda so it makes you get ur blinkers changed and how do i get them to work i know there is power goin to the new bulbs bc my turn signal lamps work just not the turn signal its self. so if i fix it do i just need to reset the ecu. someone please help cops at school are starting to harass me for this

Unless you altered your turn signal blinkers to do so all the time, your turn signals will blink rapidly if a bulb on the the affected side is blown or not functioning correctly. The blown bulb makes the non-blown bulb blink rapidly, letting you know that there is something wrong. Resetting the ECU won't do anything so don't waste your time. Check the wiring and status of bulbs to find your problem.

If your turn signals were blinking fast after the accident repairs, it is possible that they reversed the wires when they plugged the lights back in. This would have caused your corner lights to stay lit at night (pretty bright) all of the time, and your blinkers wouldn't have been visible at night, but they would have appeared to work (but blink fast) from the interior of the car.

However, reversing the wires probably caused the bulbs to be on more than usual, and made one of the filaments in the bulb burn out. So, get new bulbs and reverse the wires going into the little clip (there should be 2 wires - just swap them and see what happens).

Sorry if that's confusing, PM me for clarification.

its most likely messed up wiring, try checking under the bumper where the corner lens wiring is and see if anything is disconnected.
