new pump/main relay...still wont start
any help would be more than appreciated. as stated it has a new pump (walbro 225) and a new factory replacement relay and the mother f%!*er still wont start....well to be more specific, the pump still isn't kicking on. am I missing something? just plain retarded? something stupid I could have missed??? thanks in advance for any useful replies...
good one to miss but that was the first thing I checked, and just double checked and thats definitely not the problem....thnx though
new battery.....good starter. it will crank over all day and is getting spark but like I said the fuel pump is not kicking in and to my understanding it has to be in the wiring if its not the pump/relay??? might want to mention that the car is an obdI b18c swapped car even though this doesnt really matter
anymore ideas??? this is my dd and I'm about to give up on it and Honda's all together if I can't figure this **** out. Please help prevent the lost of another Honda enthusiast.
Calm down man. You won't figure it out if your frustrated. Do you have another ecu to swap out? Alot of these older ecu's are frying the capacitor that controls the fuel pump. Its becoming more and more common. Do you own or know how to use a multimeter?

hey guys, thanks for all the replies and sorry about bringing back this post but...after much deliberation and checking every wire from the ecu to the main relay and pump, everything checks out. 12v to the pump and a good ground. as much as I hate to say it I think my brand new Walbro is junk...guess I'll order another, I've heard about 5 out of 100 are bad out of the box. Also just thought I'd mention, you can hear the pump try to turn on and off but no buzzing, just thuds. Also 12v unplugged, 6.*v plugged(connector under seat) fingers crossed
run a new12V and ground source straight to the Pump and see if the pump comes on.. I had a simmilar problem with my CRX when i installed my walbro and it ended up being the wires going to the pump were backwards. (thats what i get for rushing) the next day comming back from the drag strip the car quit on me while driving. I swapped out injector relay ,Main relay Ignition module , and ended up being just a fuse under the dash (Again rushing to get home and not cheking the simple stuff).. A fuse that right now i cant remember what it was labeled But it had nothing to do with ignition or fuel pump.. So make sure you check all your Dash fuses with a volt meter for continuity. Pull each one out when testing the smallest break will make your volt meter Beep once and stop.
thanks twincharged but I've done everything you mentioned. I saw another issue just like mine and it ended up being the wiring from the under-seat connector to the pump. it has taken over 2 months to check everything since I have absolutely no spare time. Every fuse on the car has been checked and a great deal of the wiring including grounds. the 12 volts unplugged and less than 6 volts plugged is what brings me to the conclusion the pump is bad, plus when 12v is ran to the pump with a new ground...it just makes a slight thud but wont run (the pump). Im not an electrical genius by any means but from what I understand, a drop in voltage equals a short. new pump on order tonight or tomorrow unless I am convinced otherwise, then look for it to be FOR SALE ONCE RUNNING.
