Default help me.... -3 line or -4 line?

Ok My car was boosted for 2800 miles not much at all. It is a simple set up a 50 trim turbo on 7 lbs. After about 2400 miles I noticed my car was smoking so I babied it around and took the turbo kit off. I noticed my turbo was leaking oil and when I took the downpipe off there was oil in it. I currently have a -4 line on the car with no restrictor. Is that my problem the line is to big? Should I switch to a -3 line?

-3 or use a restrictor on the -4.

generally -3 and no restrictor for journal bearing turbos unless you are seeing pressures above 70psi at the turbo

but since you already have -4, you might be able to add a restrictor to fix the problem

I had -3 and got that problem. I switched to -4 with a restrictor and an inline -4an filter. Solved the problem!

do you remember what size restrictor? or what oil pressures you were getting with each setup?

seems like it was the restrictor that took care of the problem rather than the size of the line

the inline filter had a .030 orifice, I'm almost sure that the restrictor on the end of the line was the same.
