Once it did back in 99. Now doesn't at all. What component needs replacement? I tested the motor by powering up with 12v battery. The fan worked great. But doesn't work when car is at Normal driving.

Mine never really turns on either. It only turns on needed. As long as your temp stays at normal operating temps it wont. A good way to test if the fan is working is after driving (up to normal temp) and let it sit and idle for about 15 minutes. It may kick on, mine doesn't do it even then sometimes but I'm sure it works because I have 140k+ miles on my engine and it runs perfectly.

I drove 950 miles up the east coast and it didn't kick on once.

Me or the other guy? If you talking about me, never overheats. Car run great. But I'm concerned of the fan not turning anymore not once since 99.

 

i think it turns on when your driving. if you dont overheat then your fine

 

lol my DAs fan goes on all the time, ive come outside in the middle of the night and it kicked on for a minute.
i think its just how your electronics feel that day. lazy or overactive.

 

UPDATE:

Both fans turned on only when the AC is on. Never did I hear or seen the fans turn on with AC off. Back when the car was new, sometimes the fan would turn on after I shut off the engine after a long drive which is suppose to do that. Now, it never turns on when car is off.
