Hey Guys,

So I have been doing A LOT of searching on this website and A LOT of browsing on the 92-00 FAQ'S section and I am a little confused about something.

The auto to manual walk through on this forum is a 96 civic EX being changed from auto to manual, see below:

It says in there that the intake manifold and throttle body need to be changed because of the IACV.

My question is what if you are changing a DX from auto to manual? Does the intake manifold and throttle body need to be changed? Obviously you dont have to run a P2P ecu from an EX on a DX cause it is non-vtec. You can just run a Manual P2E.

The reason I am asking is cause I just went to my local junkyard asking for an intake manifold and throttle body and he said since my car is a DX I do NOT need to change the IM and TB. Just want to know if this is true or not.

 

If you're keeping the DX (D16Y7) engine then no you don't have to do anything with the intake manifold or the IACV.
