I bought the same universal Bosch O2 sensor a while back for my EG and the sensor didn't work properly. I still had a CEL after I replaced it. So then I changed it with an OEM one and the CEL went away.
Downstream sensor (M/T & A/T) OE Type - Bosch 13249.....$81.89

I figured it out. both the Bosch whites goto both the black wires. then just followed the rest of the pattern. Bosch black to civic white and Bosch gray to civic green. code is gone everything is all good. really if u just hold both the sensors upright and match the whites to the blacks. you just gotta finish the pattern. if you have the stock civic plug and the Bosch manual in front of you. its takes a second to get it but really its just process of elimination and once you got two wires done, its a no brainer. i don't think there is anything wrong with the Bosch sensors. just people wire them up wrong or there is another problem causing the CEL in the first place.
