code p1163 98 hx
Can anyone help me figure out the problem with my 98 civic hx, I am getting a code p1163 "primary heated o2 sensor slow response". What is the best way to diagnose the problem, where is the o2 sensor heater located, how can I test it, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

unless you have a wiring problem just replace the sensor. I would recommend using an oem honda part but they get expensive.

the sensor only has about 5k miles on it, it is an original honda part. is the o2 sensor heater contained inside the sensor or is the sensor heater somewhere external of the sensor, if it is external, how can I test it, where is it located? how can I check the wiring to see if there is a problem there? btw: this is the 5 wire wideband sensor, not the normal 4 wire unit. Thanks
