Grinding Wheel for tungsten???
Just wondering what u guys out there are using for grinding your tungsten?Any specialty wheels/grinding stone?I know the wheel should be dedicated to only grinding tungsten and nothing else. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
Tungsten grinders. My wife got me Sharpie DX for Christmas a few years back; I never would have actually gone out and bought it myself, but I love that thing.
Same here, I was taught to use a belt sander and it's just a habit I've kept. Sometimes I use the side of the grinder, but only really if I'm forming a new point from a flat/knocked off tip. For just touching up I use the edge of my sander.

Here is a link to which you can buy one... I work full time in a custom tool shop with mostly all precision grinders... I kno my grinding wheels... If I was grinding a tungsten lathe tool bit I would use a 60J but if you want a polish like finish you could go with a 150 grit or if you just want something between that you could go with a 100j witch is just a 100 grit wheel...
