Found automatic b18c from japan, what are the specs
So basically i want an upgrade and more reliable engine in my integra, which currently has a b18b1 with 169k. I want to keep it an autp and found a couple of these B18c w. auto tranny, ecu etc...
What kinda hp would this put down being that it is an auto?

what do you mean the specs? it's a plain jdm gsr which is 180hp coupled with a very hard to sell auto trans. you're basically getting the tranny for free since that's normally the ballpark the engine on its own sells for
Oh ok, but in terms of the b18c auto transmission, is it better than the ls auto tranny? Or about the same? Just curious if it would be better to buy that, since it comes with a ecu already chipped for the auto & vtec. Or buy a b18 long block and a ls tranny.
Thanks for the response
of course it is. if you already have an auto ls car this would be an easy drop in and yes the correct ecu is needed which of course this comes with. for an easy auto swap click the buy it now button
the only thing you will have to do is run a couple wires for the vtec

This will be such a sweet DD and cruisin car.. Not many b18c auto's around.
The GS-R (its actually an SiR-G) tranny is supposed to be geared shorter than than the automatic LS, if you go this route make sure you get the matching ECU and TCM (automatic integra ECUs are 4 plug instead of the normal 3 plug design.) also if you happen to have an '00 - '01 'teg you might be sol, as theres no OBD2B automatic P72 and no one seems to make automatic OBD2A to OBD2B conversion harnesses. One further side note, OBD1 automatic P72s use an OBD2 style square eprom, so you can forget getting it chipped and tuned. All that said it should be an easy swap and it should work better than the LS swap, the automatic tranny is still going to suck though.
Yes, but this isn't a civic, its an Integra. Fully aware of the civic issues though, I have yet to see any conclusive proof that anyone has ever gotten an automatic B-series to shift properly in a civic.
thats my bad, i misread what morbidthoughts said. i thought he wrote he wanted to do this swap "in" a 94eg8. lol, reading too fast ftl.
Yeah so i think i'm gonna do it as my current b18b1 is constantly overheating and **** but with 169k and what i paid for it i can't complain.
How much do you think it will cost for the labor to swap it?
Also can i just purchase the b18c engine + auto tranny, and still use my current p72 auto ecu?
