Antenna question?
I have a 97 ex. I want the antenna to always be in the down position, instead of extending because I think it gives the car a cleaner look. I know I can buy an antenna block off, but I want to keep the stock antenna so that i get reception on my radio. Is there a wire i can cut to keep it from extending, and still get reception on my radio, or how should I go about this?
There's probably a motor that extends the antenna. You have to cut the wire that power the motor.
Although, I think what you're doing is a bad idea. For good reception, you need the antenna to extend. That's why it's there. Of course, there are always people who prefer aesthetics over function.

Hmm, can't answer that question. My civics didn't have a power antenna so I wouldn't know. Hopefully someone can answer your question.
Are you sure you have a power antenna and not a manual one?

That sounds like a good idea, but how much does all that cost and how hard is it to install the hidden antenna? And is there a walk threw?
