s300 nitrous relay wireing help prolly over thinking this probelm to much lol
ok so i have search countless threads to come up with nothing this is prolly cuz im over thinking my problem any help would be nice. so i have a 92 civic hatchback with s300 im trying to wire up the solenoid i have the 2 blue and yellow14 gauge wires 86 and 30 with and inline fuse straight to the bat. the red 10 gauge wire is going to a15 on the ecu were i have cut that wire and ran it into the wire off the relay 85. then 87 the black 14 gauge wire is going to the solenoid then the other wire off the solenoid is grounded to the chassis. i then have b5 cut and ran straight to one end of the arming switch and the other end of the switch is grounded to the chassis. every time i try to connect the main 12 volt source that is wires 86 and 30 off the relay my solenoid pops. now i know u have to change parameters on the s300 before this will all work but i can not find a post on setting up the ecu correctly. if any one could help please do so im so damn lost right now
have you uploaded from the ecu first so you can read whats on the ecu? If not you cant make any changes until you do so
This is a 3 year old thread....Most likely he did not have nitrous control activated in the s300. If it is not activated that output is for Evap (i believe) so power will stay activated to the Solenoid. I have burned solenoids out before from disabling nitrous control. So just keep it activated in the S300 Software, even if you are not using it. If youre not using it disable the toggle switch
Yeah I know it is old but it's still here and it is always nice to see a solution to a problem posted when the thread is still alive. That is why I asked.
from the diagram he posted it looks just how ive connected them (maybe difference input/output seleted but still the same outcome ) in order for this to work while toggle switch is on all the conditions under the parameter setings have to be set right ... if these conditions are not met than no matter how well your wiring is done the solenoids wont work.
