spst RELAY help
Hey-
I dunno what im doing lol... I know how to wire one relay. Id like to wire two or three relays as to use 2 or 3 switches to activate them.
I have three SPST relays sitting in front of me. I realize that bigger current goes through the 30 and 87 pins, while the small current 'kill switch' aspect goes through the 86 and 85 pins... respectively to their own switches.
HOW do i wire it so the bigger current passes through all three relays when the 3 switches are energized?
crap.... just realized id have a lil more luck in audio security huh... im going to copy and paste

First off, check out "the12volt.com". It's one of the best sites to cover relays.
On Bosch relays; terminals 85 and 86 are to the coil inside that "picks" the relay. When the relay is "picked" or "energized", current can pass from terminal 30 to 87. (actually, it can pass through in both directions.
So; on your three relays, wire 12 volts to all of the #85 terminals. Run a wire from each of the #86's to each of the switches. Then you have to wire the other side of all three switches to ground.
When you flip one of the switches, it provides ground to the relay and "picks" it.
I'm not sure what you are trying to do with the output, but let's say that you want to power something like driving lights or fan. Run a heavy gauge wire to the #30 terminals on all three relays. Then wire the #87 to each item that you want to power.
If this doesn't help, you should be more specific as to what you are trying to do.
