Default honda civic type r using oil

anyone help, recently bought civic type r. 2003. only had a month and has went through a litre of oil i have been told that they use oil?

Vtec solenoid and motor oil are two seperate things. are there any leaks?

Yes, to your question/comment about VTEC using oil. Seems like you have a leak somewhere. Check for leaks and then Run a leakdown and compression test.

no there is no leaks at all but i have bn driving the car hard.dun 1000 miles in a mnth,

I'd get an oil catch can and watch your blowby. Also try not hitting it everywhere and see ow the oil does.

do the ep3s use a lot of oil, i cant help hitin it bud lol

Its normal to burn a quart of oil every oil change... now if you are loosing more then that it could be many things from constantly being in VTEC, a leak, seals etc...

I use a thicker oil so I barely loose any oil but when the weeks I go to the track I do notice half a quart is losted.
BTW I use 5w40 Motul.
