vtec uses oil, and h22's have always been known to eat oil

just make sure the levels are ok and that will help

First of all H22s eat oil. Check your plugs and see if they are sooty. But there are a few things that may play into how much oil it burns. How many miles on the car ? An older motor will typically burn more oil than a newer one. What type of oil of you using ? How is your compression ? Low compression may be a sign of bad rings which would cause the oil to blow by and burn in the combustion chamber. Basicly you just have to keep an eye on the problem, check your oil level often. Aviod hitting vtec very often.

Look at this thread it may help.

Going aftermarket with just bolt ons wont really affect your oil burning. I would check your compression and see if everything is ok before you start throwing money into aftermarket parts.
