I just got a benen tripod front strut bar and would like to know what size hole to drill and nuts and bolts to use? Ive searched and none of the thread specified the size to use.. Thanks...I have a 97 civic hatchback...
should already have holes there. cuz on the eg6 there are holes there already and you will need a size 10 bolt. just take one of the bolt from your hood and go to a hardware store and buy the same bolt.
Take it to the hardware store with you and browse their grade 8 bins for whatever fits. Then just use a drill bit that is right around the same size.
to stitch: 96-00 civics don't have the holes like earlier models.

What? Carbing bar bolted to my fire wall of my EK, I just had to take out the black plastic plugs.

Yeah that's because it mounts to the tophat studs. Note: I think he is talking about the mounts at the shock tower. The benen mounts to the top of the shock towers like the ITR/CTR/SI/GSR ones.
Oh that one, I remember I used the biggest ones that could fit the Mugen bar grade 8. On my friends car that we did wire tuck we got a body shop to actually order the whole SI shoulder and remove and replace that was gangster.
