i just got a strut bar off a jdm eg6 and i have little rubber plugs on my car where the bolts are supposed to go the bar ..so my question is what size are these holes and will bolts just screw right into them or will i have to use a tap

I don't know what size it is but I bet you you won't have to use a tap. Just go buy a few different size bolts and see which of those fit. Don't force it. Someone on here has to know the answer to this.

remove the caps

get a bolt/nut combo that will fit through the hole(I forgot what size)

Use a auto grade washer with the bolt and go from the wheel well through the hole and use the nut and another washer on top of the strut bar

yeah, i had this same problem..

so i ran out to lowe's (or equivilent hardware store..) and picked up eight washers, four bolts, four nuts... i know for many, if not all hondas, the strut bar bolts are 14mm in size... i couldn't find any so i picked up 1/2" bolts, washers, and nuts...

if you can find 14mm, go for it, keep the metrics...

then its a matter of jacking the car up (entire front side at once), jackstands, and either two ratchets or open end, whatever you prefer..

and you're done! i used a stock strut bar off of a 95 gsr, 99 si is identical...!
